Greetings Nobles,
I would like to start this letter by asking for your continued prayers for our long-time Hadji secretary Susan Cronley.
Susan is a big part of the Hadji family, and our thoughts and prayers are with her, and her family and we hope for a
full and speedy recovery.
May 19-22 was a fun time in Panama City as Shriners of the Dixie Shrine Association filled the beaches. I want to
offer Congratulations to Past Potentate Illustrious Sir Chris Saul for being elected as the 3rd Vice President of
Dixie. No doubt he will continue to represent Hadji well, as he always has.
On May 28th, As Hadji’s Oriental Band traveled to Kentucky, Oriental Guide Bobby Gean was elected President
of the Southeastern Shrine Oriental Band Association. Congratulations Bobby! I know you will do great things as
President and that you too will represent Hadji well.
We had the pleasure of attending the Abba Shrine Ball June 18-19. A large group of Hadji Divan and Past
Potentate’s were in attendance and a great time was had by all as we celebrated with Illustrious Sir Alex
Williams and First Lady Sam. It’s always at good time at ABBA and we at Hadji appreciate their friendship.
Also in June, the new west side parking lot was completed. It looks fantastic and I would like to thank Noble Jerry
Long for his help in making this long overdue project happen.
In July Myself, First Lady Jennifer, Chief Rabban Bobby Minchew and Lady Ella, Assistant Rabban Bruce
Stewart and Lady Donna and Recorder Larry Mills and Lady Mary Virginia traveled to Minnesota for the
Imperial Session. Minneapolis was a great host, and a wonderful time was had by all as we continue to celebrate
the 150-year anniversary of Shriners International and the 100-year anniversary for Shriners Childrens. At the
Imperial Session, Imperial Sir Kenny Craven was installed as the new Imperial Potentate. He and Imperial First
Lady Jennifer “JJ” Craven are wonderful down to earth people that are going to be amazing representatives
for Shriners International for the the next year. We at Hadji are fortunate to have the long-standing tradition of
hosting the new Imperial and First Lady for their first official visit. On July 15-16, we did just that. Chief Rabban
Bobby Minchew and Lady Ella did a great job of planning a weekend full of events to celebrate the Imperial
and First Lady. Hospital Chairman Keith Goolsby hosted Superstar Shrine Patient Ambassador Kechi to help
us celebrate the weekend and she delighted us all by singing the National Anthem at the Wahoo’s stadium and
with her message and song again at Hadji on Saturday night. The Imperial’s first visit is an honor that we never
take lightly, and I want to thank everyone that worked so hard and those who showed up and participated in the
weekend’s events.
There are lots of amazing events coming up in the next few months. The Ladies will be having a Champagne
Brunch on August 6th in the Gold Room. Please call the Hadji office for tickets. The Oriental Band will be having
their Hog Roast on August 20th at the Director’s Staff Warehouse. You can buy your $20 tickets at the door for all
you can eat and drink! August 26-27 will be Shaddai’s Potentate Ball. It is very exciting for Shaddai to have their
temple up and running after Hurricane Michael. If you can attend this, what I am sure will be a wonderful event,
please try and do so.
It’s almost Haunted house time. As you all know, this a major event with lots of moving parts. It takes tons of
volunteers from start to finish. If you have time to spare your talents in any way for this event, please contact
Oriental Guide Bobby Gean or Noble Tyler Mills.
As always, be on the lookout for communication on all that is happening at Hadji.
Yours In Faith,
Illustrious Sir Travis High
Potentate 2022
